Welcome:  Hello racers, volunteers, fans, and sponsors, this will be our fourth annual Brice Prairie Road Bike Race. We are part of the WiSport Series (www.WiSport.org), although you do not have to be a WiSport member to race with us. We had over one hundred and fifty racers in 2008, for all who participated last year a big - Thank You.  We are anticipating an even larger number of racers this year.  We will have some exciting changes for the Race for 2009 and it looks to be a great time. The entire race route will remain on Brice Prairie (Click here for 40K Race Route *requires Adobe Reader get it here). The racing format offered for 2009 will be a 40 Kilometer time trial with individual, two or four person teams competing.  The categories will be female, male, or co-ed.  The four person co-ed team must be two male and two female riders.  We have Itiming-White River Sports contracted again to do the official chip timing this year

When: Saturday June 27, 2009. The Race will start at 9:00 a.m. sharp.  We will be limited to 250 racers. Our main focus is the Time Trial but for those interested we will also be holding a running 5 kilometer and 10 kilometer event Sunday June 28, 2009.

Where: The race will be held on Brice Prairie, a beautiful piece of land located just north of La Crosse and Onalaska, Wisconsin. Brice Prairie borders Lake Onalaska and the Black River to the north and west. Halfway Creek empties into Lake Onalaska at the southeastern corner. Your race route will take you around the entire prairie; you will enjoy a scenic view of Lake Onalaska, the Mississippi River bluffs and many cheering fans along the way. Click on the map below to link to more information about Brice Prairie.

New for 2009:  A Raffle to benefit “Friends of Brice Prairie.  Some awesome prizes included again this year.  We will again be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner on Friday evening June 26, 2009 from 5 until 8 p.m. for all racers, family members, volunteers and anyone who wishes to have a great meal.  The cost of the Spaghetti Dinner including a beverage will be $7.00 and will of course be all you can eat.  Racers may pick up their starting time and registration packets or for late registrants may enter the event.  On Sunday June 28, 2009 we will be having a new 5 and 10 kilometer run. All information can be found at http://morrischallenge.org. As many of you remember all of Highway ZB has been repaved with new asphalt and now much of Highway Z has also received new paving. A rule change for 2009 is that your official start time will be just that - your start time, so be at the line ready to ride.
