BRICE PRAIRIE TIME TRIAL BICYCLE RACE
RULES AND REGULATIONS 

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for participating in what we hope will become an excellent annual road bike race. Our goal is to provide you with a safe challenging race that will be efficiently managed with great attention to the details that make up a quality event.
 

1. Please ride safely.

2. Helmets are mandatory for the race.

3. Aero bars will be allowed for the race.

4. Obey all highway and safety signs and regulations.

5. Wear your race number on your right low back area and attach to your jersey securely with the safety pins provided.

6. Attach your bike number to the forward portion of the top tube with the twist ties that are provided.

7. Obey all road safety volunteers and Sheriffs Officers posted at intersections and crossings.

8. When finishing the race hold your position after crossing the finishing line you will be guided through a designated end of race area where the finishing line judge will record your number. Timing will be automated as you cross the finishing line by the officials.

9. Individual riders may not draft. Intervals of at least 25 feet should be maintained unless in the process of passing. Two and four person team riders may draft with their team members only

10. Disqualification will be implemented for crossing the center line. Two race officials will be monitoring the race route by motorcycle and lap officials will be strategically located to document your position and lap count. They will be designated by special officials jersey.

11. This is a course open to traffic, ride as close as possible to the right shoulder of the road at all times.

12. Please be courteous to your fellow riders, be extra kind to volunteers and officials who have donated their time so that you may enjoy a safe and fun race.

13. No rider will be allowed to compete in this race if they are using or wearing musical or voice ear pieces. This is a safety hazard for the rider and participants. Refusal to remove MP3 or like apparatus will result in disqualification.

14. Remember your start time is just that. It is your official starting time so be at the line and ready to ride.
